The Motorola Xoom is up for grabs at Best Buy for a whopping US$ 1,199. The tablet can be ordered starting this coming Thursday, February 17. However, I don’t think that a lot of people would be interested in “investing” Moto‘s latest gadget even if Best Buy is offering some “Great Financing Offer’. On the contrary, Steve Jobs might be feeling very relieved at this pricing and so too Sammy. But this extravagant pricing may just allow other companies to step-up their pricing and try to make a premium on their tablets.
Also, 1-month data activation requirement with Xoom is real, meaning you’ll need to pay a levy to Verizon as well before you get your Android 3.0 groove on.
