HTC Enters Dual-SIM Slugfest In India, Launches Desire V

HTC‘s dual-SIM Desire V smartphone which was announced earlier this month is now available for purchase through online retailer, flipkart for INR 21,990. Interestingly, the handset only permits 3G connection over one SIM card while the other SIM can only support GPRS. Seems like HTC believes that users will mostly use one SIM for data while other will be used for voice communication.

With the market already flooded with so many dual-SIM handsets from both reputed manufacturers such as Samsung and other Indianized version of Chinese handsets, that too at a much more affordable price point (sub-INR 10,000), Desire V will have a tough competition. We will just have to wait and see the market response. See below for a quick refresher on the specs.
